- LONG-LASTING Super chewer? Bring it on. Benebones are tougher than real bones and last for weeks.
- REAL BACON! We use only 100% REAL BACON for flavor. Trust us, dogs can tell the difference.
- EASY TO PICK UP AND CHEW The Wishbone is curved for a paw-friendly grip so your pup can quickly grab it and get a good chew going. Think about it: dogs don't have thumbs.
My dogs love the Benebone. Even my foster dogs who didn't like other chew toys (Like Kongs or Nylabones) LOVED the Benebone. I have very strong chewers in my home, and these last a long time. I will definitely keep buying them, this specific order was the third one I've bought! They don't splinter, you don't have to fill them with food or peanut butter (which just gets everywhere in my experience). They are just great the way they are. They are easy to wash off too, in case it gets in the dirt on accident or something like that.
My six month old puppy is a destructive chewer who is easily bored by chew toys (an unfortunate combination for my wallet). If I don't keep puppy well-supplied with bully sticks, his toys end up dying horrible deaths with stuffing strewn all over my living room. We've only had the Benebone for a week, but there haven't been any new toy causalities since we got it.Puppy loves the Benebone and spends lots of time every day chewing on it. The wishbone shape is great; it makes it much easier for puppy to get a grip on the bone. I think the ergonomic design is what prevents puppy from getting frustrated and losing interest in this chew toy. The Benebone is large, but not too large for my 20 lb puppy to carry around the house. His doggy best friend (a goldendoodle who is at least twice his size) is also enamored with it. I think the Benebone would work for any dog above the toy size range. The Benebone has a very neutral smell -- it doesn't stink like most of the things that puppy enjoys chewing on, which is a big perk. But the puppy has loved the Benebone since the moment he first laid eyes on it, so I assume it really does smell like bacon to him.
My Sophie is a 20 lb Jack Russel terrier mix...and she loves to chew!I had been buying her nylabones, but she destroys them in less than a week. Or at least, gnaws them to the point that I'm afraid she'll swallow the little stubby. So then I take them away from her.I was a little hesitant about this bone...it seemed like it might be too big, and at first it was. But after a few days, she got used to it and got confident - the first few times she tried to carry it around, she dropped it. Now I'm finding it in my bed almost every night! She loves it, and even though she's been chewing on it for about 2 weeks, it hasn't decreased in size. It's just all fuzzy on the end she's been chewing on. That's another thing. It does "flake" like the nylabones, but the pieces are much much softer. Nylabones are the devil to step on in the middle of the night, and while I don't particularly care to step on anything, stepping on the benebone is a much more pleasant experience. The shape is amazing. It is really easy for her to hold, even though I think she is a smaller dog than what this bone was intended for. I can't personally attest to the bacon flavor...but she seems to quite enjoy it. I haven't noticed any cracking or breaking - it seems pretty legit. I can't say for a larger dog - maybe a more powerful jaw would do it in, but I have to doubt it.This is an extremely well made product and I am very happy with my purchase. In a year, or however laughably long it takes her to work through this thing, I'll be buying another. One last comment: the packaging is very minimalist and you can see that the manufacturer had the environment in mind when designing it. Nice touch!
My corgi loves the elk antler he has but he doesn't gnaw on it much. This Benebone -- Dexter has been gnawing on since the unboxing. It doesn't smell up the joint like hooves and I love the stance of the company on animal welfare.
We bought this bone/chew for our next-door neighbor's dog Rosebud. Rosebud is a big dog and is having a great time with her Benebone. My neighbors were thrilled with the product and said it's one of the best dog chews Rosebud has had. They are ready to buy more for Rosebud, thanks to learning about this product recently. Our gift was well received by both Rosebud and her owners. We now know what to buy for all our four-legged friends. Also, the unique packaging makes it an attractive gift. The video showing Rosebud's reaction is attached.
